Whoa Dough's Gluten-Free Cookie Dough Bites Just Hit ALDI. Grab Them While They Last.
Whoa Dough's gluten-free, vegan cookie dough bites are in ALDI fridges nationwide this week, while supplies last. Made to eat raw. Still a treat.

The spoonful you're not supposed to eat
Everyone has stolen a bite of raw cookie dough. Most packages tell you not to.
Whoa Dough is built to be eaten raw. And it’s free of gluten, dairy, eggs and soy, so more people at the table can join in.
What's happening
Whoa Dough announced the ALDI launch on October 19 in a release on NOSH. Each pack has two portioned dough bites you can eat straight from the wrapper, or bake if you want a warm cookie.
Per the company, the dough is certified gluten-free, dairy-free, egg-free and soy-free, plus vegan and Non-GMO Project Verified. The release doesn’t give a price or a store count. It says “participating ALDI locations nationwide,” so check your local store.
Founder Todd Goldstein was diagnosed with gluten intolerance in 2011. A few years later, his three young sons were too. “I wanted my kids to be able to enjoy the same kinds of treats as everyone else,” he said in the release.

Our read: limited run, wide reach
This is our analysis. “While supplies last” usually signals a limited-time ALDI special, not a permanent spot on the shelf. If you want to try it, sooner is better than later.
Even as a limited run, ALDI is a big deal for a small gluten-free brand. It puts an allergy-friendly treat in front of shoppers who may never walk into a specialty store.
The reality check
It’s cookie dough. Gluten-free and vegan don’t make it a health food. Think of it as a treat that more people with food allergies or intolerances can share.
If you have celiac disease or a serious allergy, read the package label for the certification and allergen info before you buy. Heads up that the press photo also shows a Sugar Cookie flavor, which the release doesn’t list for ALDI.
The close
Raw cookie dough used to come with a warning.
This one comes with a “while supplies last.”
