RITZ Finally Made a Gluten-Free Cracker. It's Hitting Walmart This Month.
RITZ Gluten Free Original crackers are arriving at Walmart and Albertsons this month, with a suggested $4.49 price for an 8 oz box and a broader rollout in February 2027.

The cracker everyone brings to the party
RITZ has been the default for cheese trays and casual snacks for generations. For people who avoid gluten, that tray has usually meant sitting it out or bringing something else.
Mondelez says those fans have been asking for years. Today, the brand answered.
What's happening
In a release dated October 19, Mondelez International announced RITZ Gluten Free Crackers in Original Flavor. The company describes them as flaky and golden-baked, with the buttery flavor of RITZ Original, “now in the certified gluten free version that fans have been asking for.”
Olympia Portale, senior director of core crackers and head of savory portfolio strategy at Mondelez, said in the release: “RITZ Gluten Free Original crackers deliver the same great taste consumers love in our RITZ Original crackers and contain no artificial colors or flavors. Everyone deserves a seat at the RITZ brand table.”
Availability, per the release: starting October 2026 at Walmart and Albertsons, then expanding to retailers nationwide in February 2027. The new 8 oz package has a suggested retail price of $4.49.

Our read: when a mass brand goes gluten-free, the aisle notices
This is our analysis. Gluten-free shoppers click when a brand they already know finally shows up. RITZ isn’t inventing a new snack. It’s putting a familiar name into a format more people can eat.
That matters for parties and weeknight snacks alike. When the default cracker gets a gluten-free option, hosts have one less thing to special-order.
The reality check
Certified gluten-free is the release’s wording. It means the product meets a certification standard, not that gluten-free crackers are healthier than the original. Check the package for the certification mark and the full ingredient list, especially if you have celiac disease or a gluten sensitivity, and talk to your doctor if you’re unsure.
The $4.49 figure is a suggested retail price. What you pay depends on the store.
The close
Same round cracker.
Now more people get a seat at the table.
