REBBL CLEAR Brings a Clear Whey Protein Drink to Whole Foods

REBBL CLEAR has 20 grams of whey protein, zero sugar and 80 calories, and it's at Whole Foods for $4.99. Heads up: it's whey, so it isn't dairy-free.

Not every protein drink has to be a milkshake

Sometimes a thick, chocolatey shake after a workout sounds like a lot.

Clear protein drinks look more like juice or a sports drink. REBBL just made one.

What's in the bottle

REBBL announced REBBL CLEAR on October 20 in a press release on BevNET, and says it has been available at Whole Foods since October 1. It was first previewed at Natural Products Expo West 2026. The details, per the company:

  • 20 grams of whey protein, zero sugar and 80 calories per bottle.
  • Electrolytes including potassium, magnesium and sodium, plus 20% of the Daily Value for zinc.
  • Flavors: Mixed Berry, Lemon Lime, Strawberry Watermelon and Mandarin Orange.
  • Suggested price: $4.99.

REBBL is part of SYSTM Foods.

Clear protein looks like juice. It's still a dairy drink. The WellWham perspective

Why the whey matters

Many shoppers know REBBL for its plant-based protein shakes. This one is different. The release describes complete whey protein, and the bottles say they’re made with dairy protein. If you avoid dairy or eat vegan, this isn’t for you.

Our read: protein is going light

This is our analysis. Protein drinks are splitting into two camps, thick shakes and light, clear drinks. REBBL is betting people want protein in moments when a shake feels too heavy, like an afternoon slump or after dinner.

The reality check

The nutrition numbers come from the company. Check the label for the full ingredient list and any sweeteners. Zero sugar doesn’t automatically mean it fits your diet, and a protein drink doesn’t replace a meal.

The close

It looks like juice.

Just remember there’s dairy in there.
