What’s in the can
Sporked’s Peter Akpejeluh reported the launch on November 1. Target’s product page and nutrition panel fill in the rest. Here’s what the label and listing say:
| Per 12 fl oz can | |
|---|---|
| Caffeine | 150mg, from green tea |
| L-theanine | 200mg |
| Alpha-GPC | 200mg |
| N-Acetyl-L-Tyrosine | 350mg |
| Taurine | 1,000mg |
| Calories | 10 |
| Sugars | 0g (0g added) |
| Vitamin B6 / B12 | 10mg (590% DV) / 2.4mcg (100% DV) |
Target’s listing says it has no sucralose, no aspartame and no artificial colors. Nello says on its website that its drinks are naturally sweetened. Those are the brand’s descriptions, not test results.
Where to find it
Winter Colada is a Target exclusive in stores, with TikTok Shop online, according to Sporked. It’s listed on Target.com as a holiday drink in a 12 fl oz can. Target did not show a price when we checked, and Nello has not published a press release. Nello’s website lists its regular flavors at $2.79 a can.
Sporked reports that Nello first launched at Target with a single limited-time flavor on an endcap, and within two months moved to four permanent flavors in the energy drink aisle: Strawberry Lemon, Cherry Splash, Rainbow Sherbet and Limesicle.

Our read: holiday flavors are now an energy drink thing
This is our analysis. Seasonal flavors used to belong to coffee shops. Now energy drink brands use them to earn shelf space, and Nello is doing it with a retailer exclusive. We’ve seen the same playbook from Bloom’s dessert flavors and from Angry Angel at Whole Foods. Walmart has even built a shelf for mood drinks. A limited can is a low-risk way for a young brand to stay in front of shoppers.
Reality check
150mg is a real dose of caffeine. FDA says that for most healthy adults, 400mg a day is an amount not generally associated with negative effects, and that sensitivity varies from person to person. Count this can toward your daily total. The added ingredients like L-theanine and Alpha-GPC are on the label, but a label is not proof of what they do for you.
The close
A piña colada in November sounds like a vacation.
This one comes with 150mg of caffeine, so plan your afternoon accordingly.
