Nick Foles and Whole30's Melissa Urban Back Ozlo's $22M Round. The $279 Sleepbuds Maker Passes 260,000 Customers.

A Super Bowl champ and the Whole30 founder are now Ozlo investors. The money goes toward new products, including a tinnitus product that isn't submitted yet.

Earbuds you're supposed to fall asleep in

Partner snoring. Upstairs neighbors. A city that never really gets quiet.

A lot of us have tried earplugs, white noise apps and regular earbuds that dig into your ear the second you roll onto your side. Ozlo makes earbuds meant to stay in all night.

The round

According to Ozlo’s October 29 announcement:

  • $22 million Series B, led by Modi Ventures
  • Existing investors including LifeArc, Artis Ventures, Resmed and Drive by DraftKings took part
  • Individual investors include NFL Super Bowl champion Nick Foles, Olympic snowboarder Danny Davis, Whole30 founder Melissa Urban and psychologist and podcast host Michael Gervais
  • Ozlo says “the round size includes previously issued convertible instruments,” so not all of the $22 million is new cash
  • Ozlo says it has passed 260,000 customers in under two years

The famous names are investors. Ozlo didn’t say how much any of them put in, and none of them is described as an ambassador.

Ozlo's ambition extends well beyond a single product. The WellWham perspective

Where the money goes

Ozlo says it’s spending on hardware, software, engineering and research, and on “advancing the regulatory work required to submit a tinnitus product to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for review.” That product hasn’t been submitted or cleared, and Ozlo gave no date. It also announced a partnership with Dreem Health, a virtual sleep clinic, and noted its ongoing integration with Calm.

What you can buy now

Sleepbuds 2 launched in July 2026. They’re $279 on ozlosleep.com, which also lists them as HSA and FSA eligible. Ozlo says they have up to 14 hours of battery and use noise masking to cover sounds like snoring and city noise. Ozlo was founded by former Bose engineers. Prices at other retailers may differ.

Our read: sleep earbuds want to be health devices

This is our analysis. The pitch has moved from “block the snoring” to sleep clinics, research and a possible FDA product. That’s a big jump for a pair of earbuds. Famous investors help the story travel. They don’t tell you whether the next product will work.

Reality check

Sleepbuds mask noise. They aren’t a medical treatment, and nothing in this round changes that. Funding isn’t proof a product works, and the tinnitus product is a plan, not something you can buy.

The close

Partner snoring, upstairs neighbors, the city.

Ozlo now has $22 million to try to tune out more than noise. For now, it’s still a $279 pair of earbuds.
